was browsing through 'exquisite' magazine and I saw this write up on the audi R8. I know absolutely nothing about cars and it puzzles me that the R8 has a V8 engine but can also have a V10 engine. But I do know beauty when I see it.
I'm actually a mercedes benz girl but the picture really caught my eye and gave me a good idea for an analogy in golf when I read that the audi R8 combines 'direct gasoline injection, dry sumptuous lubrication and a high revving concept'.
my analytical mind developed from marketing class at melbourne university makes me think that the big words coupled with the 'sexy' picture is meant to elicit feelings of class and power because expensive luxury items such as cars are largely emotional purchases and you pay such a high price because of the image that comes with the car.
The point is that I relate the audi R8 to golfing because we should aim to look good when we play golf and back it up with sound mechanics and skill just like the R8.
my dad came up with the analogy that your golf swing is like a car. It needs to run smoothly and it needs all the parts to work together in order to do so. like how the car needs all 4 wheels to be turning smoothly, we need to use 4 limbs to work together in a smooth rhythm to hit the ball well. similar to the car the needs all its internal parts to carry out their functions, the muscles in our body must also do their part in order for our limbs to move in sync and smoothly
